Today is Wednesday that feels like Tuesday, one of my favorite kinds of day. Generally my brain catches up later in the week, but it’s those first two days that every time you think, “What day is it?” you go, “Tuesday– no!– Wednesday.” I like it. It’s another thing that’s like standing on your bed and [...]

My dad brought to my attention yesterday that I have not updated this thing in nearly a month. Which is true. Mostly, I have not updated because once you slack off even a little bit it gets so much easier to slack off as time goes on. This last week I haven’t even thought blog-updating [...]
I heard chipped nails are in

So I read last week that chipped nailpolish is all the rage. I am letting my nailpolish chip, now, but it just looks so bad. I think the thing is, if you are a model who has been dressed head-to-toe perfect then the chipped nails look edgy and cool. If you are a slightly sloppy [...]

I am into blue as a Christmas color right now. I think with red, it works really nicely. I have blue on my fingernails. That is very Christmasy, very understated Christmasy. Snowy.
My book is coming along, and I am writing several test-pieces because I cannot settle on a tone, voice or person. Someone help me! [...]

This weekend was good. I did many excellent things including spending some quality time with two special cats and relaxing a lot and doing whatever I wanted. I think that is very important. Doing whatever I want. Including two used book stores with Wayne where I bought five new books for about 3 dollars each.
Also [...]

Here is the thing about writing for me. I have many many big writing ideas. I think terrible things like, “I want to write about people loving each other or how I think it is a specifically female tendancy to try to control people or how obsessiveness and superstition are such poetically fruitless ways of dealing with [...]
What should I have for lunch today

A couple things, list-style:
1. I have been reading Orthodoxy and it is incredible. Seriously the best reading experience of my life I think. Well, at least chapter six was; I actually gasped out loud and covered my mouth while I was reading it. I thought maybe Chesterton was reading my thoughts or something. But I [...]
